Seeing Rio in a day is a monumental task but this private, full-day tour covers it all. Visit the city’s iconic landmarks including the Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Selaron steps, Sambadrome, Metropolitan Cathedral and Colombo Bakery.  

This tour is ideal for first-time visitors who are short on time.

On the morning of your tour, we will collect you from your Rio address and board in a clean and comfortable vehicle with professional driver, to begin our comprehensive 4-hour private excursion.

This tour includes some of the most important places in Rio's old history, as described below:

SAMBADROME 

Ride by car to the Sambadrome - host venue of Rio Carnival and learn from your guide, the origin of major

Carnival festivity in the world.

OLYMPIC BOULEVARD 

​Olympic Boulevard, the cultural epicenter of the Rio 2016 Olympics located at the new port area, we will pass by street of graffiti, the Museum of Tomorrow (external visit) and MAR (Rio Art Museum) rooftop visit when open.

COLOMBO BAKERY

We will visit the Colombo bakery, inaugurated in 1894, and offers the best combination of history, food and beauty under the roof. The building preserves its décor in Art Noveau, remembering the Belle Époque, as if it has stopped in time - food and drinks available for purchase.

CINELANDIA SQUARE

Cinelandia is the popular name of a major public square in the centre of Rio de Janeiro, with three important buildings telling these stories, the City Hall, the Municipal Theater and the National Library. Mostly following the French architecture and were a symbol of the modernization of the city.

METROPOLITAN CATHEDRAL OF SAINT SEBASTIAN

We will enter at this enormous cone-shaped Cathedral, built between 1964-1979 in honor of Saint Sebastian, the patron saint of Rio de Janeiro, is modern compared to the other Cathedrals, with a height of 75 meters and can hold up 20,000 people.

LAPA ARCHES (OLD AQUEDUCT)

Pass by car at this important construction of Colonial Brazil, built in 1723. The arches were part of ancient carioca aqueduct, example of 18th century engineering and architecture, currently one of major references of the city Center for tourists.

SELARON STEPS

We will visit the "Escadaria Selarón", located in the arty Lapa district, and consists of 250 steps covered in more than 2,000 pieces of colorful tiles in ceramic, collected from over 60 countries around the world. Piece by piece, was transformed the brown dilapidated steps into a unique colorful work or art.
